Today Nintendo has announced that Pikmin 3 will be releasing in the Spring of 2013. While its not a set in stone date, this should excite everyone who is planning on getting a Wii U and give you a great game to play early in the systems life.

When Pikmin 3 comes out it will be nearly five years since creator Shigeru Miyamoto announced that a new Pikmin game was coming at E3 2008. In 2010, Miyamoto said development was “well under way” and the project was confirmed for Wii U at E3 2011. Nintendo formally unveiled Pikmin 3 a year later at E3 2012.

So, who is excited for Pikmin 3!
