      • First Impressions: Dragon’s Dogma

        -Marcus Lawrence

I know I’m a couple of months late with this title but I figured if many of you are like me, Dragon’s Dogma may have gone under your radar. Dragon’s Dogma is one of those games where I know I want to play it but just didn’t want to buy it right away. The only reason I have my hands on this title is because a friend of mine lent it to me, so I could do a review on it. After a couple of days, I plunged right into this monster infested world and was shocked to discover how great a game this is. But only after I got past the steep learning curve.

The customization is great at giving you some sort of connection between you and your character. Even though my character hasn’t spoken yet, I still care about him because I, essentially, created him. Other than that, the action is spot-on and the Pawns (A.I partners) are very useful in combat. I just wish they didn’t talk so much when traveling on the road.

Dragon’s Dogma is for those that would enjoy a smart hack-and-slash RPG game. Give it sometime and you may be surprised at what you find.
