BioWare has revealed the newest multiplayer expansion for Mass Effect 3. Retaliation is to be the largest content drop for ME3’s multiplayer mode so far. Adding to Cerberus, Reapers, & the Geth are now the Collectors. It is also revealed they will fight alongside new Geth drones.

Two new characters are also announced: Turian Havoc Soldier & Turian Ghost Infiltrator with “many more being added on a regular basis”. Three new maps which are Firebase Ghost, Giant, & Dagger have been announced as well with environmental hazards including Acid, Sandstorms, Lightning and others.

Three new weapons (Collector Assault Rifle, SMG, and Sniper) along with three new ammo types (Explosive Rounds, Phasic Rounds & Drill Rounds) have all been revealed too. Players will also be able to track their progress in the new “Challenges” database. According to BioWare, players will be able to compete in various multiplayer assignments to unlock titles and banners for display in-game and to compare with other friends.

Mass Effect 3 Retaliation Multiplayer DLC is free and will launch on October 9th.
